Carlo Rampazzi
Carlo Rampazzi graduated in Interior Decoration in Lugano and Paris.Creative passionate and eclectic, architect and designer, he develops design lines blatantly anti minimal and particularly original for exclusive international customers. As a designer he creates for Colombostile collections: La Nuova Tradizione, L’Età Dell’Oro, Spazialismi, Collezione Blu, Passepartout, Africa, Maquillage and ZeroOtto.
Samuele Mazza
Samuele Mazza began his career as a fashion designer in the ’80s, comparing himself with an environment that demands absolute discipline and a frantic quest for everything that is modern and glamorous, then passing through several disciplines in a transversal way. From the creation to the theory, Samuele Mazza analyses the fashion sector tracing, through the monographs of great designers, published with Electa Mondadori, a “geography of fashion thinking”. He organizes displays and plans events and exhibitions and, pursuing his path, Samuele Mazza founds Visionnaire in 2001 – brand of furniture that achieves a great reputation, today taken over by Ipe Cavalli. In 2011 Samuele Mazza starts a collaboration with Colombostile proposing himself paradoxically as a “stylist and non designer, interior designer and non architect” and designing the Columbus Couture collection, which expresses in a single concept the two major Italian excellences, fashion and furniture.
Silvio De Ponte e Pietro Gaeta
Silvio De Ponte, an architect, collaborated with the architects Pierluigi Cerri and Vittorio Gregotti from 1987 to 1991. He carried out research and experimentations on new materials and technologies. He was art director at DIL Illuminazione from 1998 to 2001. He is a consultant for the Triennale in Milan, for which he also planned exhibitions. His work has been published in magazines and books both in Italy and abroad. He teaches at the Domus Academy in Milan, at La Sapienza University in Rome and at Milan Polytechnic.
Pietro Gaeta, an architect, started his professional career as assistant to Alessandro Mendini, collaborating on many design and architectural works. He worked as a designer and art director for leading Italian and foreign companies and participated in numerous international exhibitions. A lamp he designed was added to the “Permanent Design Collection” at the Triennale in Milan in 1999. His work has been published in magazines and books both in Italy and abroad. Together with Silvio De Ponte he designed The New Essential collection for Colombostile
Andrea Dall’Olio
Elena Viganò
After training in art, Viganò graduated in architecture from the Politecnico university of Milan in 1994.She began working on many architectural projects, providing solutions which were at the same time functionaland creative.With this experience, she developed a taste for expressing herself in the field of designing furniture, and startedworking with several companies.
Her projects go from the classical to the modern, and show her exquisite skill in “transforming” objects, creating original one-offs. In 2013 she started working at Colombostile. Now she concentrates on design, interiors, and architectural planning.
Mariella Mattei
Mariella Mattei was born in Rome. Her strong artistic flair allowed her to get a diploma at the Art Institute in Rome.She began her activity as an Interior Decorator in architects’ offices in Milan and Rome that allowed her to design interiors of villas, embassies and international headquarters in England, United States, Arab Emirates, Angola, Syria. Being a fine expert of the Russian Empire style, she proposes well-studied modern reinterpretations of that style.
She designed various collections for Colombostile, such as Samotraki, Kalimnos, Leros and Bacchus, which were very successfully presented in international fairs.
Roberto Nicolai
Roberto Nicolai, born in Frascati, immediately turns his interests in the field of arts. Artistic high school and Faculty of Architecture in Rome form the basis for his work as interior designer.
Over the years, he implements a stylistic and research path that happily mixes traditional craftsmanship with the sophisticated expectations of elite customers, combining creativity and pursuit of detail to the innovative and original use of materials. He designed and implemented numerous projects in Europe and the Middle East in which the final result is always the effect of the delicate balance between modernism and worship of the past.
Jean Antoine Hierro Desvilles
Hierro Desvilles, born in Casablanca, lives and works in Nice in Côte d’Azur.At seventeen he began a career that brought him to exhibit, with increasing success, in Nice, Paris, Cologne, Basel, New York, San Francisco. Houston welcomes him as French official artist during the celebrations for the Bicentenary of the French Revolution.Since 1994, he designs furniture signing as Desvilles Hierro.In 1997 he started collaborating with Colombostile: he designs the collection XXI Century – An Open World (1998), Transculture (2004) and Starlight (2006).
Giovanni Maria Malerba di Busca
A personal and early classical and artistic education, an imaginative creativity searching for an original synthesis between admiration for the ancient art, of which he is also a collector, and post-modernity. After graduating in architecture he plans houses also designing furniture. In the various fields in which he works, from jewellery design to interior design, his creations are based on the uniqueness and preciousness of the materials used and on the deep knowledge of specific manufacturing techniques. For Colombostile he designs the collections Il Gusto dei Principi, Tchaikovsky, Esmeralda, Stra, Marie Helene.
Marina Bani e Marco Penati
Marina Bani and Marco Penati work together in the design field since 1983; they have been involved in engineering and research for important Italian and foreign companies and they dedicated a considerable part of their activities to product design. They manage the design office SIGLA in Lissone.
In 2000 they started working with Colombostile taking care of the exhibit design of exhibitions and fairs, among these, the project of the two exhibitions held in Moscow in the State Museums and the concept of “Boutique Colombostile” stores. They also treated the workshop “Secrets of Luxury”, for the design of chests made in the company with high woodwork techniques. They have also designed their Elit’s collection, which represents the first development of Colombostile Contemporary Collections.
Filippo Perego di Cremnago
After an apprenticeship of three years in New York at an architectural firm, he returned to Milan, his hometown, where he worked for four years at the Office of Arch. Tommaso Buzzi. Then he opens his own office in Piazza Sant’Erasmo, also in Milan.
His interventions range from the renovation of the Invernizzi villa and gardens in Trenzanesio and of the Invernizzi Palace in Milan to a prestigious series of renovations in Rome, Venice, Turin, Portofino, Cortina, St. Moritz, New York, Côte d’Azur and Marbella. He also made the restoration the Hotel et de Milan hotels in Milan, the Villa d’Este Hotel in Como and the whole chain of Monrif hotels. He realizes, also, some designs for the theatre and cinema.
